The euro gained more than 2 cents (1.5 percent) on the dollar as markets learned that the eurozone had come to terms on a deal that would see Greece offered up to 45 billion euros (US$61 billion) in emergency funding. Greece has said that it hopes to continue to raise funds through its own bond offerings and hopes to avoid borrowing directly from the eurozone.
