The Asian Development Bank (ADB) predicted today that economies in East Asia will lead all others this year with a growth rate of 8.8 percent. However, the ADB warned that the so-called currency wars, inflation, and the rising threat of protectionism remained a threat to the further development of these emerging nations.
“The unsynchronised global recovery – red-hot growth in emerging economies against tepid, uncertain recovery in advanced economies – pose policy challenges for emerging East Asia,” said the ADB.
