The Norges Bank announced its benchmark interest rate decision via twitter this Wednesday. The Norwegian Central Bank cut rates by 25 basis points and leaves the rate at 1.25%. The rate has declined by 4.5% since September of last year. No changes in the Bank’s projections could mean that the rate will hover around 1% as it tries to stimulate growth in the economy.
