Asian shares rebounded on Thursday following the previous day’s sharp sell-off as investors awaited trade figures from the world’s second biggest economy.
China’s April trade report is due at 10am SIN/HK. According to a Reuters poll, the figures will likely show continued declines but the pace of losses may have moderated.
Exports are expected to fall an annual 1.7 percent from a year earlier, compared to March’s 6.6 percent tumble, while imports are seen dropping 2.3 percent from March’s 11.3 percent slide.
