UK Corporate Debt Rise Lends Weight to Recovery

In its quarterly Credit Conditions Survey, the Bank said that, over the past three months, availability of funds to banks had improved, making it easier for them to lend to businesses. The survey found that lenders predict a further increase in corporate credit availability during the next three months.

The biggest increases in credit were made available to larger firms although credit availability to the commercial property sector continued to fall.
