Recent polls in the U.K. found that many British citizens favor “Brexit” ahead of the June 23 referendum to decide if Britain should remain a part of the 28-member European Union.
A ORB poll of 2,000 people published on Friday by the Independent showed 55 percent of respondents believed Britain should leave the EU, while 45 percent favored staying in.
Another poll by Opinium for the Observer suggested 44 percent of Britons backed continued membership of the trade bloc, 42 percent were against it and 13 percent undecided.
